Overcrowded

What a strange thing - I have an assignment to draw 3 things in my journal unique to "my personal space." I guess it's not that odd of a task - since it would show my professor something about my personal life... It's just that my room is so crowded with things it would be nearly impossible to just concentrate on a few items to draw them independently of anything else. Every wall surface has something tacked up, posters crowd my sleeping space, my desk is completely unusable, and I have a coat hanger holding purses, bags, jackets, scarves, coats, a towel, umbrella and surrounded by boots at its base. I'm thinking of drawing my fish tank - because I guess that's pretty unique - it's just hard to draw something in 2D that is constantly moving. Any suggestions?
